    Based on your idea and preferences our project managers choose an illustrator whose artistic approach is a good fit for your project. 

    Collaboration

    Once the illustrator for your project is locked, they’ll draw an initial design. At this point you can ask for modifications or changes until your artwork aligns with your vision.

    Sketching

    After the initial design, you are provided with a preliminary sketch for each illustration you purchased. This will give you a fair idea of what your final illustrations will look like and you can ask our illustrators to do any necessary adjustments if needed.

    After your approval, we move on to the illustration process. Illustrators use ink to create lines and then colour or shade them. Here you can also request the illustrators to make colour corrections, shading, and detailed modifications.

    The cost of book illustrations varies based on factors such as the complexity of the artwork, the experience of the illustrator, and the scope of the project. Contact our design experts for round the clock consultation at any time.

    Our illustrators do not get royalties. When you use our illustration services, you pay a one-time fee per illustration, which eliminates any future royalty obligations. This one-time payment is desirable because most trade publishers usually pay illustrators royalties. If you hire an illustrator outside of GBS on a royalty basis, they will receive a percentage of the book’s sales revenue.

    We match illustrators with authors depending on their artistic approach. With a defined process in place, authors will work with their Project Manager through several phases before approving the final illustrations.

    We take your privacy and confidentiality seriously and implement strict data security measures.
